Major Live Events

For more than 25 years, Brian Murphy has successfully married corporate America and the entertainment industry through landmark concert and promotional programs. Murphy has been associated with Songmasters since 1995 and is responsible for oversight of production for all large live events and their accompanying television components.  He is currently COO of Beachfront Technologies,  a technology advisement and development company transforming technology solutions for major entities such as Viacom, AT&T, UPS, Warner Brothers, and Coca-Cola

Murphy is the Founder and CEO of Fearless Entertainment, a full-service entertainment marketing, production, and promotion company whose projects included My Concert Concierge, AT&T Presents Hard Rock Live and Live at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Fearless Entertainment’s executives also produced broadcast events and specials for CBS, TBS, TNN, MTV, VH1, Viewer’s Choice, DirectTV, and Primestar. Before starting Fearless Entertainment in 2001, Murphy was General Manager and EVP of Warner Custom Music and Managing Partner of Warner/TBA (the Time Warner entities responsible for developing and implementing entertainment marketing initiatives). During his tenure with the Warner Music Group, Murphy generated business from respected corporate clients including General Motors, Sony Electronics, Fruit of the Loom, Kraft/General Foods, The House of Seagrams, K-Mart, MasterCard, Coca-Cola and Hard Rock Cafe International.

Murphy started his professional career 30 years ago in advertising sales and marketing, working for a variety of large publishing companies including Ziff-Davis and CBS Publishing. Through his own company, Murphy Marketing Inc., he later developed and executed sales and marketing programs for clients including Blockbuster Entertainment, Tower Records, Personics, Heritage Publishing, American Media and more. He negotiated comprehensive music licensing deals for his clients with companies including Sony Music, Polygram, Warner Music Group, and EMI. In addition, Murphy developed and ran an in-store music-marketing program that generated sales over $7 million in two years. This successful program, and Murphy himself, caught the eye of Time Warner, which purchased his company.

A sampling of Murphy’s entertainment initiatives includes television productions such as The Original Bad Company Reunion; NASCAR Rocks; CMA Awards Backstage Pass; 1998 Goodwill Games Opening Celebration and Closing Ceremony; Alabama: For the Record; Blockbuster Rockfest; Fruit of the Loom CountryFest and MasterCard’s Music in High Places.
